2 cups grated or minced cabbage and cauliflower
2 cups grated or minced carrots
1 cup minced french beans
1 chopped spring onion
2 chopped green chilies
3-4 minced garlic flakes
2 tbsp corn starch or flour
1 tbsp All Purpose Flour (Maida)
1 tbsp boiled and mashed rice
1 tbsp ginger- garlic paste
Oil for deep frying
1 tbsp Soya Sauce
1 tbs tomato sauce
1 tbs chilli sauce
2- 3 drops of white vinegar
Salt to taste
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp sugar
A pinch of ajinomoto( Chinese salt)
Chopped coriander leaves
Preparation of Vegetable Manchurian
- Mix all the vegetables and squeeze the water out from them.
- Now in a bowl take the squeezed vegetables and mix ginger-garlic paste, mashed rice, corn flour and All Purpose Flour.
- Add some soya sauce and salt to taste.
- Make small balls of the mixture .
- Heat the oil in a kadhai / pan and deep fry the balls till golden brown, drain and keep aside.
- In a pan now, heat some oil and saute garlic, green chilies, sugar and some spring onions.
- Now add some water, and then add chilli, soya and tomato sauce.
- Put the fried balls into it.
- Now add pepper powder, vinegar and ajinomoto.
- Cook it for about 2 minutes.
- Garnish it with chopped coriander and spring onions.
